CHARLOTTE: I never sleep with a married man.
SAMANTHA: How do you know that you have not done? The rings are removable. So, friends, girls unmarried people are not trustworthy. CHARLOTTE
: Please do not think all married well.
MIRANDA: That's right, all no. The fear you will not have pity. CHARLOTTE
: Come on, that's not true.
MIRANDA: Do not tell me you have never felt that I looked with compassion.
CARRRIE: That's something I hate.
CHARLOTTE: In this I agree. I can not stand to be the only person who has no partner and all you look like you're ...
CARRIE: A monster?
MIRANDA: Leper
SAMANTHA: Puta.
MIRANDA: Yeah. Trust me, married women are the enemy.
CARRIE: Was he right? Were we enemies? Was there a latent cold war between married and unmarried? ______________________________________
While rummaging through the rubble of my foray into marriage, I thought that perhaps the struggle between single and married was like the war in Northern Ireland. We are all the same, but for one reason or another, we ended up on opposite sides. It would be wonderful to have that special someone who return home, but sometimes there is nothing better than being with your single friends to go to the cinema.
